Sayid Jarrah is inspiring some jealousy in Boone Carlyle because he is getting closer to Shannon Rutherford, his half-sister. Boone meets John Locke and tells him that he wants to tell about the hatch they saw in the woods to Shannon. They have a disagreement and Locke hits Boone and keeps him tethered to a tree. He abandons him in the forest that way. Boone's past unfolds in which his strained relation with Shannon is revealed. In fact, he was coming to Australia to save her from a dreadful relationship. Back in the present, there's some hidden forest creature attacking her. Boone comes in the nick of time to rescue her. Somewhere else, Kate is apprehensive about Sun. she finds out that Sun can speak English. Hurley is attempting to teach Jin fishing, the language differences notwithstanding.
